When Bebhionn and I were sketching the wireframes, we made sure the purpose behind this system was created for the audience's goals; the task was to keep it concise and clear as to what their end goal is. The layout of the wireframes is structured clearly with understandable instructions. The call-to-action elements are designed specifically for those who find technology a bit troublesome to use. This allows for faster interactions and better UX and UI since the layout is not crowded.
When we moved on to the mock-ups, Bebhionn and I had similar ideas. The only difference is that we decided to minimise the number of screens for the instructions information and add another segment, which is the ‘essential items’. Adding this feature provides users with what they would need for their stay and allows them to feel respected for their values and dignified. Other than the elements, I also like the illustration of the fingerprint; users will be able to understand more of the instructions other than reading the text. And understanding which section they are on and what is happening.
