What is Logical Progression?

Logical = reader making sense of the content in their brain

Progression = understanding the order of content

When writing, it is important to structure content clearly where it builds clarity for the reader to intake information. There are four stages of logical progression:

1. There is a problem - Explain what it is
2. How does it affect people in a negative way - How to fix it
3. ‘I am working on this new thing’ - Showcase the value of the information and know how it can impact people
4. How does it have the power to solve this problem - How will it change people’s perception of this solution

If information is being presented, this guide can help support your proposal

• Intro – Who are you?
• Hook – What is the opportunity (problem)?
• Line – How do you seize (solve) it?
• Sinker – Why does this matter, how does this create value?
• Ask – Gauge their response, would they like to hear more or meet again?
