In week six, I explained that I'd done a usability test on Flare and explained all the issues that I had foreseen when testing. One of the main things I talked about with my tutor was that there is no onboarding when users sign-up, as users would it troubling to understand the features wouldn't the context.
In return, my tutor recommended that I should use Mobbin to look at different UI screens and use it as inspiration to create Flare’s onboarding screens. From Mobbin, the inspiration I gathered is it that should follow a straightforward design structure where it ensures users can focus on the content but. also make it visually pleasing at the same time. The aspect is to make them, excited and look forward to using features.
Other than the tutorial, I also used Mobbin as inspiration to improve Flare’s UI in general. the inspiration led me to change the UI of the Sign-up screens for the Patient’s and Doctor’s sections.
When I was skimming through the prototype, I realised that I wasn't satisfied with how the Sign-up screens looked, I felt that it looked a bit outdated and underwhelming.
In the end, I updated the screens with a clear layout, allowing users to focus on the contents. I’ve also added descriptions to help users what their information is used for, so the overall sign-up process is thorough.
