Throughout the digitalisation process in the branding, I used three-tone colours and created more variations as well as changing a few tweaks.
Whenever I was picking the chosen brand, I was torn between choosing this mockup and another mockup. I like the style of the shape, especially how all the pieces combine well together. The dark purple shade represents the hair of the person but also the ‘flare’ element. I made sure to add this to the colour outline variation as well. for the outlined version, I like how the outline of the bodied person curves around the baby - it makes the pieces stand more. Overall, the design looks modern, however, in my opinion, it does look like a UI icon (profile icon), which was a bit off-putting. Nevertheless, I am pleased with the outcome since it can be distinguished easily.

The second mockup follows a more geometric aspect of a square face and cone-shaped body of a baby. This would be my least favourite out of all the mockups; it doesn't stand out as much nor have the same impact as the others. I prefer the solid version rather than the outlined one because it looks like there is something ‘missing’ in the outlined version. However, I think this mockup was a good experiment to play around with shapes and structures.

For my brand, I have chosen the last mockup. This was the logo that I tweaked the most; originally there was supposed to be a smaller circle representing the mother’s head placed above the bigger circle. however, when I was developing it, it also looked off-putting and unnecessary which is why I removed it. The logo showcases the baby inside the womb and the flick at the top also represents the ‘flare’ element.
Out of all the versions, this one has the most impact and the best impression when showcasing/representing the brand identity. It is also the most interesting as it blends well with the wordmark. Although I am unsure about the nose on the baby, with feedback, I can also get opinions on this which allows me to reevaluate my work and learn how to improve my design skills - overall I am happy with the result.
